Emotional Freedom Technique [EFT] for Mood Regulation

Updated: Apr 4

Somatic practitioners who turn towards Emotional Freedom Technique [EFT] call it the best body hack availible. As we develope our self-regulation practice, try this gentle tapping on specific acupressure points and expect to experience focused attention, relief from persistent worry and over thinking, and support though emotional challenges.

Known for its impact on the nervous system, EFT reliably produces calm, and with consistent practice releases stored emotional tension, and shifts doubt and limiting beliefs.

The practice begins by identifying a distressing emotion or issue and stating it clearly. Yes, talk to yourself. We all do. Say something kind on purpose, like “Even though I feel disappointed, I accept myself as I am”.

While repeating this statement, tap on a series of points on your body—these points correspond to traditional acupuncture meridians and will need to be learned to master this practice. Repetition helps us learn. Repetition helps us heal.

EFT can be used almost anywhere, and its often described as a powerful mindfulness tool for reconnecting to the present moment and creating space for healing. Whether practiced alone or with a trained facilitator, EFT invites compassion, awareness, and acceptance into the process of emotional growth.

We thank you for being vulnerable with yourself and for trusting that we can heal on purpose. If you do not currently have a CARE Partner to explore your results with, email us to get started at info@growURpotential.org
