Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. Helen Keller
When we dare to take risks, to expand beyond our current borders, failing is anything that does not bear fruit. But what is failing is the path to expansion?
Every skinned knee, every heavy heart, every calloused hand brings us closer to our fullest potential. We cannot find love without allowing ourselves to freely suffer the let down of a crush. We can’t learn guitar without the pain in our fingers that are getting to know the string, nor can we learn to ride a bike and avoid the fear of falling.
Accepting risk is agreeing to fail. Something going wrong the first, second, or even third time around is okay.
You know why?
Because it is another step toward thriving on purpose. Where you are meant to be is a real destination but we must never expect the path to that place to be an easy road. Anything worth having is worth fighting for, so fight past all failure and win on purpose.
