How it works...

Healing Justice promotes the sentiment that resilience can trump trauma. That’s over simplified, but clear. On a seesaw, if you put more weight on one end, the other end will lift up. When we develop resilience attributes, the impacts of trauma will lift and our way forward will be more empowered.

This page includes guided resources for expanding group and individual exploration. Use each section to guide introspection and practice of the skills that expand leadership abilities.

Topic 1
What is UR Superpower?

Play the video to the right. Create break-out groups of 4-6 people to reflect on these questions:

1. What is your understanding or exposure to the idea that Resilience is a counter-weight to Trauma?

2. Do you support or reject this over-simplified view of healing our trauma? Why?

Topic 2
Tools for Somatic & Emotional Resilience

We all deserve resources because all HUMANS fall down. When we fall down, we can directly support our resilience so we get back up faster, with less bruising.

There are tried and true ways for supporting resilience. We can use these same tools to support our friends and loved ones. But we can't use tools we don't practice. Invest in your resilience, practice builds power!

Spend time in small group exploring EACH of the resources in Tools for Somatic & Emotional Regulation.

Topic 3
What Area of Resilience
Are you Focused on?

Read The 7 C's of Resilience. Spend some time in the larger group responding to questions about the blog. Create break-out groups of 4-6 people to reflect on these questions:

1. Which of the 7-Cs are you invested in building? Why?

2. Do you have a Discovery Path yet? Do you need support building one?
