Matt Williams, MA

Legal name: MATTHEW CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #147063

Supervised by Divinity Sardin, LCSW #100484

I believe everyone faces challenges that require making choices. I help clients explore whether their current solutions truly meet their needs and desires. While we all start from different places in life, we can all arrive at a point where change becomes possible. My clients come from diverse social, cultural, and justice oriented backgrounds and my goal is to support your unique story and the path towards the life you want to live.

Whether the challenge is trauma, grief, anxiety, sexuality, communication, or something in between, I believe that through reflection, processing, acceptance, and mindfulness practices, most can build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. I use somatic therapy tools to ground and secure mindfulness practice. I also use Psychodynamic, CBT, and client centered approaches to establish authentic connections capable of humanistic existentialism.

I am also a kink aware and queer affirming therapist, and I have an affinity for BIPOC families, and couples from nontraditional lifestyles (Poly Ethical). I choose to practice at growURpotential were therapists with healing-justice mindsets work together to expand emotional resources in our community.

Matt holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The services provided by Matt are supervised by Our Clinical Team.

We are a nonprofit community counseling agency, committed to expanding access to supportive services. With compassion, collaboration, and respect we provide affordable mental health care including programs that strengthen adults, youth, families, and communities.

We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning. We are certain this will lead to fortified communities in Los Angeles.

We are sincerely grateful to Our Board Members for their support and invaluable guidance.
